So we went to a Waitakaruru Arboretum #sculpturepark near Hamilton the website is https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attraction_Review-g255108-d1741620-Reviews-The_Sculpture_Park_Waitakaruru_Arboretum-Hamilton_Waikato_Region_North_Island.html
We received a really warm welcome and we think it was a great place and a labour of love as the place was an old quarry, which they have converted into a sculpture park with commissioned and donated artwork. The quarry has been planted up very tastefully. A nice peaceful place to go and visit. At $15 per head well worth it . I would say a one and half hour malander. So if you are in, or near Hamilton pop in. or if you are at a loose end pay a visit.
A lovely 2km walk with plenty to see and find.
So star rating. Mitchell and me think it was a 4 star. Why?
For $15 it was good value and if you stop and appreciate the art even more value is added.
